G'day from 'The High Country' in rural Victoria.
Thank you for visiting my website. I love that you're here.
Your participation in my rural business is a dream come true. One of the highlights of my life.

Whenever I visit a new website. I always want to know how much postage and handling is.
So upfront. Our flat rate postage and handling charge is $16.95 per parcel.
Regardless of how many items you put in your parcel. Or where you are located within Australia.

We live and work from our remote rural property in 'The High Country' of Victoria.
In the picturesque foothills of the Victorian Alps.
All parcels are despatched via Australia Post.
Our post office is in a remote location. So we post parcels once a week.
We hope you understand how the tyranny of distance affects a business that is in a remote, rural village.
We post parcels on Friday. From orders received by 3pm on Wednesday. And send you an email to let you know your parcel is on its way.
This Is Where We Live & Work. The Fitz Like A Glove For our international customers,
please check with Customs in your country
to see if they impose extra charges on your parcel
once it enters your country.

For my UK customers. It's with regret that I will be unable
to continue to post parcels to the UK. The new requirement from
the UK is that VAT be collected by all online merchants when an order
is placed. And paid to the UK before your parcel leaves Australia.
As well as. Calculate the duties payable on your parcel.
To be able to complete a customs declaration.
Unfortunately. I'm too small a company to justify
the infrastructure required to do this.

A Pressing Cloth. Your Best Friend At Your Ironing Board.

Do you ever reach for a tea towel? Or a handkerchief? To put over a garment to stop you from scorching or burning it?

A pressing cloth is a better option. Because. It has no hems. Is much bigger than a handkerchief.

And much better than a tea towel. Because it's never been in your kitchen. Wiping dishes that may not be super clean. And pots that might still have some grease left on them.

Also. Hems. Leave marks on garments. From the pressure of a hot iron.

Why Use A Pressing Cloth?

Because scorching and burning clothes is very easy to do when you’re ironing. Set your iron a little too high and your delicate and synthetic fabrics melt and crinkle in an instant. You can scorch a cotton shirt by wetting it too much and leaving the iron on your wet shirt a few seconds too long.

Logos on your T-shirts are notorious for melting under the heat of your iron. And are saved by laying a pressing cloth over them.

Men use pressing cloths on their suits. Because suit fabrics tend to shine when they come into direct contact with an iron.

I have a silk blouse that I love wearing. Silk is notorious for wrinkling when washed. It requires a low iron setting. Which is inadequate for removing wrinkles. So I lightly mist the fabric. Put a pressing cloth over it. And iron my blouse on a cotton setting. Without destroying the silk.

A pressing cloth is such a simple solution.

How To Use A Pressing Cloth.

You lay the cloth over whatever you’re ironing and press as normal. Retaining your high heat setting. The pressing cloth allows heat and steam through but protects against scorching and burning.

So you get a crisper finish and you don’t waste time waiting for your iron to adjust the temperature.

What Fabric Makes The Best Pressing Cloth?

Lightweight calico and homespun are best.

I don't recommend mesh pressing cloths because the mesh is raised. And actually prevents your iron from coming into contact with what's underneath. So you can't produce the perfect crisp finish you want when you iron.

Give it a go. And let me know how it works for you in the email form below.
